The short version

This notice explains what happens to your data when you visit Firescatters coverage on this portal – not what the operator itself does with data once you register on its own platform. We are an independent information site, not the casino, and this policy covers our own handling of visitor information only. If you go on to sign up with the operator directly, its own privacy policy takes over from that point.

We keep this as plain as we can. There's a difference between data you hand to us on purpose – filling in a contact form, say – and data our site simply observes as you browse, such as basic technical logs. Both are covered below, and both are handled under UK data protection law.

Who controls your data

The data controller for this site is the team behind firescatters.org.uk. Any query about how your information is used should go to [email protected] rather than to the operator, whose own support channels only cover player accounts, deposits and bonuses.

Data you hand over vs data we observe

Some information only exists because you gave it to us: your name and email address if you use the contact form, and the content of your message. We don't ask for anything beyond what's needed to reply.

Other information is collected automatically as a normal part of running a website: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the time spent on them, plus cookies as set out in our separate cookie policy. None of this technical data is used to identify you personally in the ordinary course of business.

What we do with it

We use this information to answer questions sent through the contact form, to keep the site secure and working properly, and to understand – in aggregate – which pages and topics are actually useful to readers. We never sell personal data, and we don't build advertising profiles beyond the standard analytics and advertising cookies described in the cookie policy.

Our lawful basis for most of this is legitimate interest – running and improving an information site – and, where a form is submitted, the fact that you've taken a clear step to contact us. Cookie-based analytics and advertising rely on your consent, given through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Processors and transfers

Where we use third-party tools – hosting, analytics, or advertising services – those providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments, and only for the purposes described here. We don't hand data to the operator, and we don't share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Exercising your rights under UK GDPR

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask to see what data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict how it's used, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to certain processing. You can also withdraw consent for cookies at any time without it affecting anything you've already done on the site.

  1. Email [email protected] describing which right you want to exercise
  2. We confirm your identity where needed and acknowledge the request
  3. We respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires
  4. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

The ICO is the UK's independent supervisory authority for data protection, and contacting it costs nothing.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up. Technical and analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or anonymised form after a shorter period, once it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Under-18s

This site, and the gambling content on it, is intended for adults aged 18+ only. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and if we become aware that we have, we'll delete it. Anyone sharing a device with a younger person should consider parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio to keep gambling-related content away from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice from time to time – to reflect a new tool we use, a change in the law, or simply to make it clearer. The version on this page is always the current one, and there's no separate "archive" to check.

This policy was last reviewed in 2026. Any questions about it can go to [email protected].

This page is for information and marketing purposes only. We are not a casino operator, a bookmaker or an organiser of gambling activity, and nothing here is legal advice. Access to this content is restricted to persons aged 18 and over (18+). We encourage you to gamble responsibly – for free, confidential support visit BeGambleAware.org.
